Immune Resilience Begins Long Before You Get Sick
For years, I've been passionate about helping people build healthier lives through mindful wellness. At ViaVitae, we often talk about strengthening the immune system through nutrition, targeted supplementation, movement, quality sleep, stress management, and restoring balance to the body.
Those things matter deeply.
But over the past several years, I learned something that no textbook could have taught me. Our resilience isn't built only in our bodies.
It's built in our minds. It's built in our hearts. It's built in our spirit.
Like many families, mine walked through unimaginable challenges. During the pandemic, I cared for my sister during breast cancer treatment, walked alongside my mother during her battle with Stage 4 colon cancer, grieved both losses, and then found myself facing the debilitating effects of long COVID. Everything I thought I knew about strength was tested.
There were days when my body simply wouldn't cooperate. There were days when my heart felt broken. There were days when I had to ask myself a difficult question: Who am I now? That question eventually became the beginning of my healing journey.
The Missing Piece of Immune Resilience
Functional medicine teaches us that chronic stress, unresolved grief, inflammation, poor sleep, and emotional overload all influence immune health. Our bodies are constantly responding to what our minds and emotions experience. I've come to believe that true resilience is about far more than avoiding illness. It's about becoming the kind of person who can move through life's hardest seasons without losing yourself.
It's learning to regulate your nervous system. It's choosing hope over fear. It's replacing self-criticism with compassion. It's remembering who you are when life tries to convince you otherwise. Those lessons became the heart of my new book - Remembering Her Again.
Why I Wrote Remembering Her Again
For years I helped other women see their beauty, confidence, purpose, and potential. Ironically, I often struggled to see those same qualities in myself. Through pageantry, leadership, coaching thousands of women, personal loss, long COVID, and a long journey of healing, I discovered something life-changing: The woman I was searching for had been there all along. She simply needed to be remembered.
Remembering Her Again is an invitation for every woman who has ever questioned her worth, hidden her voice, or wondered if her best years were behind her. It's about reclaiming your identity. Rediscovering your confidence. Healing the stories you've believed about yourself. And learning to live with intention in mind, body, and spirit.
Wellness Is More Than Lab Results
At ViaVitae, we'll continue helping people pursue vibrant health through functional wellness. But I also believe lasting wellness includes emotional resilience, healthy relationships, purpose, faith, gratitude, forgiveness, and the daily choice to care for ourselves from the inside out. Our immune systems don't function independently from the lives we're living. Everything is connected.
When we nourish our bodies, calm our nervous systems, care for our emotional health, and reconnect with our God-given identity, we create the kind of resilience that carries us through life's greatest challenges.
Launch Day
This Saturday, August 8th marks the official launch of Remembering Her Again.
If you've ever needed encouragement...
If you've walked through loss...
If you've questioned your purpose...
If you're ready to stop simply surviving and begin thriving again...
I wrote this book for you.
My prayer is that its pages help you remember the woman you were always created to be. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your wellness journey through ViaVitae. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. Here's to stronger bodies, renewed minds, resilient spirits, and to Remembering Her Again.
With gratitude & resilience,
Linda Loveless
